Mini Workshop Series: Cloudscapes Not Landscapes

Some people don’t take notice of natural things around them, how often do you look at the tops of buildings when you’re walking around a built-up city or urban sprawl? When I went to London over 10 years ago, I can remember standing in front of a painting by John Constable at The National Gallery.

This was my first time overseas and here I was standing in front of so much history that I was only able to see in a textbook. I was overcome with a quiet emotion and felt a few tears emerge. If you let yourself feel, art can have a profound effect on our emotions, memories, and well-being. In this mini self-directed workshop, we are going to look up at the sky or out the window if you happen to be in a skyscraper or airplane and create something completely new.
